Yesterday, it took me another 2 hours to get my new post ready. I had made it a step-by-step how-to-do something that I had NO idea how to do. So I had to research it and I ended up watching about 7 different YouTube videos. I then found one video in particular that I liked and took notes on the step by step process. So this took me about 3 hours to complete. After writing my post and publishing it, I then had to write a fresh article for ezines that could then be spun and used for SEOLinkvine and Blog Blueprint. I found it was so much easier to write the article after posting to my site because I just ended up making a quick 298 word article that had quick tips for the how-to process.
So there’s another tip for you that are having trouble coming up with more content for your sites. Go to YouTube and watch some how-to videos, then write your own how-to post!
The acceptance rate of my 3 articles over the past 3 days with SEOLinkvine is from 75-100% between them. So far 15 articles spun from my submissions have been published on blogs in the network.
My authority site earned $0.84 yesterday. So since starting this challenge 3 days ago, it has received at least 1 click each day for a grand total of $4.97. Not bad considering in 30 days it had only done $7. So its already making some progress. But what I really want to show you is how by making this site an authority site, its already dramatically increased my visitors. Take a look at the chart below.
Now, look at the numbers!
I increased my visitors by 100 more just the first day alone and on the third day, I doubled my traffic from 2 days earlier! Insanity I tell you!
So as I had mentioned in a comment yesterday, all of these inner pages add up to bring more traffic and therefore more money.
On another note, I had some serious back pain at the end of my work day and its still painful today. I’ve already popped some aspirin this morning and hoping it helps me at least to get through being productive today.
My adsense earnings yesterday was $35.11. Drat! No congrats from Matthew!

Wow, that’s quite a jump in traffic! Where is it coming from? Is the the traffic to your new pages of content or has the ranking of your homepage improved?
Sorry, lots of questions
.-= Carrie´s last blog ..It’s Easy to Get Distracted =-.
Holy crap. As I was responding to this all of my posts disappeared! I was frantic and figured out how to fix my post table in the pfpAdmin CPanel. And now things are back. Yay!
Anyhow…
No the ranking did not improve. In fact it dropped. lol On May 9th it was #6 and on May 10th it dropped to #7.
It looks like the entry pages for the majority of traffic are the brand new posts. Google is crawling my site frequently and my new posts are being indexed in just a few hours. The other entry pages are on the feed. Even though I am not pinging my RSS feed with RSSbot, my feed is still getting pinged by wordpress automatically.
I am also not certain but I imagine some of the traffic can be directly from my posts being posted to blogs via SEO Linkvine. (I do not have Google analytics set up for it)
Wow, that is quite a jump! I need to look into SEOLinkVine. I don’t know what it does exactly LOL

You asked what SEO LV does – it’s essentially a UAW contender: there’s a closed group of blogs that articles are sent to, you can either get free content based on your niche (I do NOT recommend this w/SEOLV since they want your password and access to your admin….I did that once and had over 15 new admin’s in there mucking up my stalls…and then some genius posted an article promoting marijuana use…not good – UAW allows you to get these articles by email, not sure if SEOLV is going to change their approach on that note).
You send out your articles, they get posted to whomever approves them, it’s a win-win: you get the backlinks, they get the content…they’re a Brad Callen product, and they close their doors this Friday for a while to those trying to get the monthly membership.
.-= JamestheJust on Elance´s last blog ..SEOLinkVine or Unique Article Wizard? **Important Update** =-.
Its pretty much identical to UAW only your posts get approved by peers since all the blogs in the network are owned by members and are not private blogs that Brad Callen owns.
Hi! Enjoy reading your posts. I do have a question though….when you decided to make it an authority site what exactly are you doing differently? Just adding more pages? How did you traffic jump so dramatically on day one?
Thanks again and I wish you the best of luck!
Jason
The biggest change in moving from a micro site and converting it into an authority site is not only posting a new page of content everyday but also how I market that specific new page.
For marketing the new page I am writing a new article to use on ezines with a back link that has my keyword anchored text for the new page and 2nd link back to my main keyword page.
Then I am taking that article I just wrote for ezines, spinning it and submitting it to SEOLinkvine with the same 2 links; 1 to the new post and 1 to the main page.
And lastly I am then taking a 100 word spun snippet (re spinning 20 times) from the ezine article and posting those 20 spins to blog blue print, all with 1 text link going to the new page only.
So I am blasting a bunch of back links and link juice to the inner page and hopefully getting traffic to the new page but also passing along some link juice in a few weeks time.
Are you linking to your homepage or to your internal articles in this process?
.-= Richard @ Debt Assistance Guru´s last blog ..How To Pay Off Consumer Debt =-.
Hi Richard,
I am doing both, back linking to the home age and the new page. But because I am also using BB, for the BB posts I am pointing 20 links to the new inner page of the day.
So, why did you go w/SEOLV vs. UAW?
Curious, since I’m testing both when I can.
.-= JamestheJust on Elance´s last blog ..SEOLinkVine or Unique Article Wizard? **Important Update** =-.
SEOLV is still in a testing phase for me. I was not getting the results I desired from UAW and especially long term results so I was open to the possibility that SEOLV would produce better long-term results. And besides…its Brad Callen’s product! lol need I say more?
Exactly! I’m seriously wanting both, but will stay where I’m at simply because it’s been working.
But I will be using the pay-per-article feature. That’s just plain cool.
Thanks!

Wow Sara! I’m impressed with your traffic jump! I’m still trying to understand where all that traffic is coming from.
You said it’s from new posts, but is it organic traffic from long-tail kw rankings on Google only, or from links in your ezine articles?
My soon-to-be authority site has earned me an avg. 10 cents per visitor for last 4 months. If I manage to get traffic and rankings like yours, I’d be jumping up and down with joy! I already figured out how I’m going to handle posting unique content everyday… I just don’t know what to do after that!
haha I am still trying to understand where the traffic is coming from too. Hopefully I can have a better understanding ina few days with Google Analytics. Only some of the traffic is from ezines.
Awesome! Can you see if the extra traffic came from google? Would be interested to see if it was firectly from google, or form people clicking your article links (e.g link vine site owners checking out your site before they post your article)
So simply adding 4 extra pages targetting keywords with around 500 search volume has got you this far? Imagine what it will be like after you have added 30 pages!
Are you doing product description and review re writes for the extra content?
Granted some of the traffic might be from SEOLinkvine blog owners but then again I only have the settings to allow up to 10 site owners view the articles per day, so that would only account for 10 visits maximum a day. Its possible I am getting direct traffic from some of the articles being posted on the blogs though because I found some sites listed in AWstats that I did not recognize nor saw a direct link to my spun articles.
Nope, I steer clear from product descriptions or rewrites. My articles are usually a step-by-step how-to do/use something, tips for using a product or a review.
Just wanted to say, for the record, that I am jealous of your mad skillz to pay the billz.
you’re killin’ it!!
NICE. Your graphs and traffic report – sweet! All from low search terms, too…that’s what’s weird.
.-= JamestheJust on Elance´s last blog ..SEOLinkVine or Unique Article Wizard? **Important Update** =-.
Yea they are all low search terms. So far 1 keyword only gets 500 monthly searches and the 2 keywords I targeted yesterday and today both receive 1,600 monthly.
Wow those are pretty good results! Have you been putting more effort into your new blog posts? It sounds like you’ve been trying hard to make sure they’re really good content, and you said the last one was pretty long too – I guess that would help alongside all the links you’re building?
.-= Ruth – Web Career Girl´s last blog ..Feeling the Strain But Sticking to My Goal =-.
Yes, I’ve been doing my best to make my content be buzzworthy. Today’s post took me just as long to research and write again but i think it will bring in some juicy traffic.
You should really install analytics…. it may be that one of your articles got picked up and run on a larger site somwhere that is funneling traffic. Some niches have established sites that can boost your traffic like that for a bit if they re-post some of your articles.
AWStats should show towards the bottom where a majority of the traffic is coming from.
.-= MatthewDC´s last blog ..Hyphen Domain and Quick Update =-.
I installed analytics today so I can get a clearer picture in a few days. According to AWstats 92% of the traffic is from “Direct address / Bookmark / Link in email…” which baffles me.
4% is from Google search 3% from direct site links, i.e. ezines, ehow and squidoo (i’m assuming rss feeds for these).
Also, is the feed getting a lot of traffic? It may be that the feed is showing the new articles and getting clicks that way… I am not sure how those register in AW Stats…
.-= Matthew DC´s last blog ..Hyphen Domain and Quick Update =-.
Wow, those are pretty dramatic stats! Like others here, I’m wondering if it is organic traffic from Google searches for the new keywords you are targeting? Or are you picking up lots of traffic from long tails you aren’t targeting as well?
.-= Michelle´s last blog ..Adventures in Outsourcing, Part II =-.
How much of that traffic was UV’s and how much was repeat? Also, how many page views exist for your IP address? If you are writing the articles yourself and constantly referring to the site, it will register a lot of that as page views. Just food for thought..
.-= Matthew DC´s last blog ..Hyphen Domain and Quick Update =-.
Sara just rocks, guys. Face it. She’s got the chops…
((darn over-achiever!))
I did want to ask you about your screen shots – is that Market Samurai or some Brad Callen wondertoy or what? Hot stuff, that.
.-= JamestheJust on Elance´s last blog ..SEOLinkVine or Unique Article Wizard? **Important Update** =-.
I take my screen shots using photoshop. print screen key > ctrl+v into photoshop.
I use MS Paint for the same deal – I meant specifically, what program gives you those graphs/stats? I’m only familiar with the Wassup WP plugin, or GA, but those look like the Feedjit graphs. Obviously something I don’t have just yet.
Thanks, though, for the tip!

James,
Those are from AWStats.. it is built into the Cpanel function that most hosts have. If you use hostgator, you have access to it in your Cpanel.

I want to see how far this nesting goes. Pretty cool! THANKS MATT!!!!
Love you, man. I feel like an idiot, but just checked it out in my CP and yep: had it the whole time. Pretty darn cool! I feel like a kid in a candy store! And I hate when people use this many “!!” from an editorial standpoint!!
