Yesterday’s blog post took me yet another 3 hours to put together and it ended up being 601 words. It was another step-by-step how-to post, only it had two variations depending on which “problem” the visitor has. I will say that it is in the beauty niche and its more specific to a certain ethnicity which I do not belong to. As I research this niche, it really has fascinated me and I am certain by the end of 30 days I will be an expert for this niche. I think my visitors would be completely shocked if they found out I am not of the same ethnic background. Yup, I’m saying my posts are THAT good! haha!
Since I am making this a 30 day challenge and not a 20 day challenge this means I will be working weekends on it. I’m going to work smart though. I plan on getting a 2nd post queued up in wordpress today to post tomorrow, queue up my BB posts for tomorrow and I will also delay my SEOLinkvine to start posting tomorrow as well. For Sunday’s posts, I’ll probably do some or all of the daily tasks done tomorrow and also delay the postings to go off on Sunday.
Speaking of SEOLinkvine … rumor has it that today; at 2:00pm EST, Brad is closing the door for new memberships to join the “get links” or aka article submission side. Meaning, you can still register to get your blogs in the network and get free content to your sites but you will not be able to submit articles to be published on the network.
Here’s the email from Brad:
This Friday we’re closing the doors to NEW
MEMBERS for the “get links” side of SEOLinkVine. If you’re already a member, nothing will be effected, other than
the fact that you can probably expect more links, faster, as we
build out our blog network without accepting new members to the
“get links” portion (so, GREAT news for you if you’re already a
member).I had planned to keep the site open to new members forever, but
because the response was so high, we reached our capacity in only a
couple of weeks. Apparently word spread throughout forums that our
system actually increases links and Google rankings.Because of this, we’re closing the doors to new members this
Friday at 2:00pm ET and will be focusing entirely on growing,
growing, and growing our blog network to triple the amount
of links that members should expect to get (as well as integrating
new feature requests and some other cool stuff I’ve got up my sleeve)Anyway, I won’t ramble anymore about this. I just wanted to give
you a heads up that if you try to signup to the “get links” portion
of SEOLinkVine after this Friday at 2pm ET, then you unfortunately
won’t be able to.The “get content” part of SEOLinkVine will be open indefinitely,
though. So if you’re using the system JUST to get free, automated
content, you’ll still be able to signup for that portion forever.
So if you’re still on the fence about whether or not to take a chance with SEOLinkvine, I suggest you make your decision today before 2:00pm EST because you are gonna miss out otherwise. With a 56 day money back guarantee, there is no risk involved in taking the chance to test the waters with it but if You don’t take a chance, you really could be missing out on a very effective, natural link building foundation for your link building arsenal.
I had a pretty low earning day for adsense yesterday, $25.54 and my authority site earned $0.45. I’m not discouraged still by this site’s low earnings because the fact that it is now getting clicks everyday is a huge success in of itself.
I also installed Google Analytics on it last night so I will give you a better update on the traffic in a few days.
I’m off to get some blog posts done! Happy Friday!

Sara,
Just as a reference, I had an authority site that ended up being 10 pages, it had around 8500 exact searches, and ended up with around 300 backlinks (3waylinks and profiles), and it started out making about $0.30 a day the first month. Then every month it’s daily earnings went up. At the 6 month mark, it was making on average $12 a day from one site. It was converting at 10% (shh, don’t tell google i told you), adsense only for monetization, and had a low day of $6 and a high day of $17 for the last month before I sold it.
I sold it on flippa last month for $2500 up front so that I could work on some other things as I felt it had capped out it’s potential daily earnings without extensive extra work. The point is, it is possible to get a site to get consistent and much higher earnings per day with quality work.
Also to note, the site never ranked higher than position #5 for the KW. It simply had between 8500-9000 exact searches which made for a lot more UV per day. I think it was averaging 300 UV a day. I was the only site with the exact KW domain. I was using my modified x-factor theme (similar style but colorful and not ugly at all).
It received 821 click in March before I sold it for a total earnings of $258.54. So I sold it for 10x earnings on flippa.
Just wanted to give you an example of what can happen when you focus on 1 site.
.-= Matthew DC´s last blog ..Hyphen Domain and Quick Update =-.
Oh, just to add, people might debate calling that an authority site, but the value of the information and the way I linked the inner pages made it a bit different of a technique than usual.
So call it what you will, either way it was making good money!
Forgot to add that I loaded an Ezine for each page, linking to the inner page and the main page within the resource box.
.-= Matthew DC´s last blog ..Hyphen Domain and Quick Update =-.
Matthew, That is so cool that you were able to sell your site for that much! Amazing! Are you still flipping sites as a main income source or are you mixing both micro niche sites for yourself and some that you will sell later?
Well, when I find a keyword I like I tend to just build a site and watch how it develops. That one had a considerable daily earn and consistency.. so I knew it would sell well, and I wanted the up front money to help work on some other things, as you might have read.
For a point of reference, I put it up as a long term auction (weeks), put the buy it now at $2500, and it sold within I think 4 or 5 hours.. So there is really high demand for adsense sites with consistent earnings.. everyone is looking to develop their portfolio with passive income..
.-= MatthewDC´s last blog ..Hyphen Domain and Quick Update =-.
Wow! That is awesome Matthew! As I have said before, I would be interested in site flipping but perhaps after I hit $100 days. I’ll probably be so sick of micro niche sites that it will be nice to try a new venture.
Hi Sara,
I think you’ll have to give your Authority site time to reflect the work you’re putting into it. And even though some of your other Adsense revenue is fluctuating you’re still getting good clicks
I had 2 questions: Do you use an article spinner or is there one you’d recommend?
Also I’m starting to read more stories about how Google is cracking down on MFA sites. Do you have any concerns about this? One guy name Grizzly wrote about it. There was another guy on blogspot who had a financial blog and I guess used Adsense. It sounds like they took his blog away. And there was a 3rd guy who had a couple of hundred Adsense sites delisted. The conclusion seems to be to focus on better content and build sites out more.
I’m still deciding what approach to take to blogging and liked the quickness of the XFactor method. I’m also wondering if these guys got nailed because they were evidently well known and wrote about their strategies ?
Thanks for any thoughts,
Sandy
Hi Sandy,
I recommend using the best spinner. It really lives up to its name. It can spin an article to have nearly perfect grammar with one touch of a button. It is also the easiest spinner I have ever used and I can’t imagine anything better on the market.
I am aware of Griz’s post and Ben’s post of having 100+ websites de-indexed. if anything, I think those posts should not be meant to scare off people from wanting to earn a full time income from adsense; instead they should be a reminder than Google doesn’t want you to shortchange them in anyway. Whether it be in the form of building out 100+ websites that offer no value to the visitor, feature spun articles or are autoblogs; google does frown upon these things and they will not hesitate to shut down your sites by de-indexing and tossing an account ban your way. I’m not accusing or insinuating these people did any of those things but I want to believe that Google would only ban and de-index for probable cause.
I truly believe that having a diverse portfolio helps you establish a rapport with Google that you are not running a MFA blog farm. By diversifying your portfolio I would suggest you build some hobby blogs that you are passionate about writing content for. Throw some adsense on those blogs mixed with affiliate links. I would like to believe my portfolio has become more diverse. I have a few niche blogs that have over 60 blog posts each, I have a few google sniper sites and now I have 100 micro niche sites and of those micro sites I have several that have 10 pages or more of content.
I also think that if you build up your adsense income too quickly, you can bet google is going to investigate. There have been several posts about google looking into accounts that start hitting $100 days. If google sees an account that went from $50 a day to $100 a day in just a few weeks, I would think that those numbers are quite alarming and they are going to do their investigative work to see how the person was able to accomplish that sort of increase in a short amount of time. If you are building back links too quickly, or leave some sort of link building footprint or auto blogging footprint, you bet you are gonna get nailed.
Earning with adsense is definitely not a get rich quick method. Its slow but steady. Those that are impatient and try to cheat the system will be the ones to suffer.
We should not fear Google Adsense if we are following the TOS guidelines. Just build sites with quality content and stay up to date to any changes by reading the Official Adsense Blog.
Thanks for the info on best Spinner ! Also thanks for the feedback on Adsense. It makes a lot of sense. I think I’m still going to put some Xfactor sites together but add additional pages to them over time. I have a couple of other ideas for authority blogs on subjects that I really care about. So those will be a separate project. And a few other ideas percolating
Thanks again!
Sandy
You’re welcome Sandy. Obviously I am partial to xfactor sites but I do feel its best to do more than the 5 pages per site if at all possible.
Hi Sara,
Just curious whether the article you are submitting to SLV is on the same top of your blog content page? If so, is it a condensed or spun version of your content page?
By the way, love your new challenge…I had been missing your updates:)
Hi Tammy,
My posts for SEOLV are brand new articles so none of the content is taken from my actual blog post. What I do is write my blog post first then I write a 300-450 word article that is totally related to my blog post content, this article is then used for Ezines. Once I submit it to Ezines, I then spin it in The Best Spinner and submit the article with the spun syntaxing into SEOLV. Then I take a 100 word spunned snippet from this same article and use it to submit to blog blueprint with 20 variations. So the one article I wrote for ezines is getting the most use.
3 hours to write an article? I appreciate you are researching them carefully but from that amount of time they must be very high quality articles indeed. Do you always put so much time into your article writing or are mos of your sites “lower quality” if I can say that without risking offending you?
.-= Richard @ Debt Assistance Guru´s last blog ..How To Pay Off Consumer Debt =-.
Hi Richard,
You ask a fair question. I typically am a slow writer. On a good day I could write 5 – 450 word articles before my brain feels fried. Which is why I had to outsource all my writing when I was building my last 70 xfactor sites.
But the reason why these posts are taking me 3 hours is because I am spending about 1 1/2 hours watching several Youtube videos. As I watch, I take notes and then I start composing my blog post. I strive to make my posts be the ultimate link bait so to make sure they are one of a kind, I will do thorough step by steps and I will find photos to go with each step. If I do not have them, I have to take screen shots from one of the videos I am referencing, then adjust the photo in photoshop and finally upload to the site. I find that by having multiple images in posts, you can attract more visitors from google images alone.
You do not offend me. I stand behind my articles and the articles I have outsourced. I would not let junk content exist on any of my sites.
Thanks for the motivation. I have decided to do this for one of my sites that could be doing lots better with a little more effort so here we go
Two days down for me and its going awesome. I am getting 2 dollar clicks which is nice.
Fantastic Kelly! What kind of earnings was your site doing beforehand?
It was making about the same as yours but it never gets under a $1.50 for a click. So far its picked up a little I seem to be getting a click every other day – of course its very early but hopefully a daily click would be cool right now.
Been meaning to do something for a while but just haven’t and now is the time
Man, I want to find that post where John talked about how much your site could earn by adding one page every day for 30 days and doing nothing but adding articles to ezines and goarticles for backlinking. It was a really interesting post and it got me excited but at the time when I read it I was too busy building sites and not focused on one site in particular. I’ll do my best to find that thread.
Ok I found out. Check out my latest post. It’s not 1 page of content a day though, it was 6 pages!
Hi Sara,
I’m new by here and I’m from Brazil.. I just found your blog yesterday and I want to congratulate you. Nice and inspiration blog.
I’m new in IM, I just started las february, I just have 3 sites by now, but not so much traffic and not so much earns until now.
I have a site that the avarage click earn was $0.60 until last month, but this month it decrease a lot, lik 3 times, now the click is $0.20.
And the same thing happens in my other sites.
Have you noticed something like this in your sites?
Your earn by click keeps the same in the last days in your sites?
Thanks a lot and I will follow the blog daily now.
Hi Leandro,
Welcome to internet marketing!
Yes, my clicks change every day too. its quite normal for the CPC (cost per click) to change from day to day. It all depends on how much the advertisers are bidding on any given day. Some days they may bid $3.00 per click and sometimes they will only bid $0.20 per click. Adsense earnings can fluctuate a lot, that’s why its best to get lots of content pages on your sites so you can attract more traffic and receive more clicks.
Hey Sara,
This is a little off topic but… Traffic Kahuna opened again today. Do you still feel pretty good about that service or have other things more or less taken its place for you? I didn’t notice you mentioning it in your 30 day challenge.
.-= Rube´s last blog ..Sterling By Musicman Bass =-.
I used TK for about 3 months and I do like it but i started to notice I just didn’t have enough time to utilize all it had to offer. I was mainly using the link exchange system and that was it. If they just offered the link exchange system as a separate service, I would gladly pay for it but at this time they do not. It’s all or nothing. But the link exchange is top notch. I love it and it really helped boost the sites that I was not able to article market.
Good stuff as usual, Sara –
I drip-fed an article to my blog about an article spinner – I see you use TBS, I just don’t like recurring fees.
Which is ironic. I now own SEOLV and UAW…because I’m a nut.
Actually, was able to get the SEOLV at a mad discount, it’s ridiculous. Will try them a month and see if I can’t keep up w/you.
.-= JamestheJust on Elance´s last blog ..UAW vs. SEOLV – Which Is Better? DISCOUNT For SEOLV =-.
I’m a half-wit right now, it’s late/early at 3:40 almost my time. In any event, when I said I drip-fed an article, it’s going to post at 12:07 today about the article spinner I went with. I was hoping to go w/TBS – but I’m a scrooge and the market’s full of spinners.
I’m wondering, when you use TBS, how much editing do you have to do afterward on the spins for grammar?
.-= JamestheJust on Elance´s last blog ..UAW vs. SEOLV – Which Is Better? DISCOUNT For SEOLV =-.
Every time you highlight a word and add a new word or phrase to your original word/phrase, your new words/phrases gets added to the server so that now the next time someone highlights the same word/phase, they will now get a choice to add the words you just swapped in to their spinning. Most often when you highlight a word/phrase there are already a ton of substitution words to add in and you can just quickly scan the list and only add the words/phrases that will fit with the best grammar.
99% of the time I have to do very little editing on grammar. I use a feature in TBS called “Replace everyone’s favorites” and will go through and replace the best synonyms within the body with 2-3 different choices. TBS is pretty “smart” and makes some really good choices. Occasionally it will swap in a word that doesn’t sit well but it only takes a second to highlight the word and now view 10 more choices I can replace it with.
I swear, I spend no more time than 2-3 minutes spinning a 500 word article to be 50%+ unique. if I spend 4-5 minutes on spinning it, then the article is usually closer to being 90% unique.
But the “replace everyone’s favorites” is a god send. With just using that alone the article is around 40% unique.
I understand how you feel about reoccurring fees. It’s a yearly fee only and I think its well deserved. They do have to keep the database up to date of all the word substitutions that are shared with all users and that really just helps save time spinning in the long run for all its users.
Thanks – much appreciated as usual. I’ve made a post about MAR and can only post about tools I have first hand knowledge in, but TBS does keep coming up.
I would have went with it if I wasn’t having a lot of other expenses this month, but anyhow: thanks for the tips.
Noteworthy as usual.

Sara,
Are you still using Terry’s links for this project and do you think that is a good service still? I appreciate your evaluation of these various backlink options and realize they change due to their own terms of service , customer saturation, qualities of blogs and rules of forum owners.
Debbie
No, not using forum profile links for this authority site. I have no time to do it, honestly. As I mentioned before, if I add another step to my daily tasks I might fall off track so I am keeping it pretty basic.
