In my previous post I had mentioned using the Adflex SEO template on my older niche blog. I am quite happy with the results. Check out my screen shot below. Look at my earnings from October 15-18. You will notice a huge spike in my earnings. That spike is only due to the one change I did; switching my template.
It’s only 11:30 am and I am already at $4.50 today. I am sure that will be much higher by tonight.
This makes me want to go back to a few of my older niche blogs and convert over to this template as well.
And just for Stacey, I started working on a new Xfactor site last night using The Ultimate Keyword Theme Extractor. I wanna see if this tool will help me rank for my keywords faster. Although I am not sure if I can even be certain that it will have helped with it or not. lol I seem to be struggling ranking for my xfactor sites when they are first new. Certainly couldn’t hurt!

Wow that’s excellent!
Very cool! Glad to see your success with this program.

That’s actually on a niche blogger blog. My very first one.
Amazing! You are averaging $10 from 1 niche blogger blog. You are doing very well for yourself. Imagine the potential of changing the templates of all your older blogs in addition to this one.
wow, that is a jump in earning. It’s crazy what keeps people on your site and what make them click. Content plus nice themes always help. I have been to sites where I think, wow if only they knew their theme was outdated. Good job.
Fabian,
I was always convinced I had a very appropriate theme for this niche in particular and the original layout had a sidebar for ads and the 468×60 banner above my posts and then I even went back and put a 300 block within the posts. So I thought I was doing pretty good but ultimately I think there was just too much going on with the theme. The adflex SEO niche theme keeps the focus on the huge adsense block. It’s like the attraction of a moth to the fire!
@Sara
Thanks for the update. Hope the UKTE helps you rank higher, faster. I visited the link you provided to AdFlex SEO, and the site indicated that AdFlex SEO Lite and AdFlex SEO Pro are available only for invited users at this time. The site also suggested a couple of similar wordpress themes, SEO WordPress Theme Ad Flex Blog and SEO WordPress Theme Ad Flex Niche which are available today. Did you use the invitation-only theme or one of the alternatives? Again, thanks for the update and congrats on the increased earnings!
I used the Adflex SEO Niche one (free one). I didn’t even know there was another template for invited guests only. lol
Hi Sara,
You know Mike disagrees with my strategy but I always launch my Xfactor Sites without the Adsense Ads showing until the site is indexed. All of the sites that I have launched have ended up on the first page and have never done the Google dance. I believe this is a factor but my good pal Mike will vehemently disagree with this strategy. I’m sticking with what works for me.
Peter
Hi Peter,
I read about similar experiences on WF. I think it’s sorta divided where some people feel you shouldn’t put adsense on it until the site is fully indexed and others feel you will miss out on the early clicks from when your site first ranks highly in the serps and then drops back a few days later.
I do place ads on my sites right away but I also do not rank as quickly. I don’t know if it has to do with the ads, whether or not it’s a niche that google will not let sites rank quickly with or if it is my own mistake of over looking competition.
Jeff, on Mike’s blog, suggested using UAW and that UAW has helped him rank in the top 10 even for inner pages. So that will be my plan of attack this week. I just hate rewriting for UAW. lol
Just passed by your blog and glad to hear that my AdFlex WordPress theme was able to help increase the AdSense income for your specific niche web site.
I remember that in 2007, we used to have about 100 AdSense niche web sites and after doing some extensive SEO tests and AdSense optimizations during a long period of time, we’ve also noticed the increase in the number of AdSense clicks after creating AdFlex and using it for our niche web sites.
BTW nice & sweet blog!
VK
Hi VK! Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I do enjoy using your Adflex wordpress themes not only for some of my xfactor sites but to use on older blogs as well. The theme has been quite profitable for my older blogs that were not earning very much.
Sara
Great tips!
Well, this is my second comment but I suspect my first has been caught in the spam folder. Anyway, I am really enjoying your journey because it is really a strong motivation for me to push forward.
I am currently at 8 sites and I average about USD1.7 per day. Not great and I hope by June, I can have regular USD 10 dollar days.

Hi Aaron,
Yea, I do not allow keywords as names so if you had the keywords as your name in a previous comment, it was deleted. FYI, if you blog comment to get back links, more of your back links will stick when you do not use any keywords in your name nor leave any anchored text links in the comment itself. Blog owners will spam those comments immediately.
I have become more strict about this since I receive a ton from Scrapebox.
But I am more than happy to let you link a name to your url and the comment luv helps.
I guess I got confused between Keyword love and Comment love : )
Anyway, a newbie question.
Does your sites have to rank in the first page to begin pulling in the money or the long tails are sufficient at the moment, I seem to have difficulties getting mine to frontpage, even with exact name domains. Maybe my keywords are too tough but I used Court’s formula of not choosing any keywords that have a PR4 in the top 4. Maybe I should go for keywords that don’t have a PR3.
