Hi everyone! First things first. I want to say thank you to all of you that prayed for and have continued to pray for my mom. It was pretty darn scary there in the beginning. She originally was admitted with what was thought to be pneumonia in her lungs because she had difficulty breathing. They then put her on a ventilator to breathe for her and then just 3 days after she was admitted to the hospital her heart had stopped and it took 3 attempts to bring her back. Thankfully she returned to us and with no brain damage. Just 1 week after her heart stopped she underwent open heart surgery which included 4 bypasses done and a valve repaired. It was also discovered she is now a diabetic and dependent on insulin. Once we got over those hurdles then there was the issue in which she could not swallow food or drink and had not regained her voice back. The doctors started to get concerned that she may never be able to swallow again. So in the meantime she had to have a peg tube put in (feeding tube for her stomach) which got infected a week later and kept her in the hospital longer. Once the tube got infected the doctors were praying that she could swallow food and drink on her own because the stomach tube was now no longer an option and had to be removed. Praise God that they gave her the “ok” to swallow food with several restrictions.

They released her after being in the hospital for a total of 5 weeks only to have her return just 2 days after being home due to her feeling nauseated all the time and she then couldn’t keep fluids in her. She was back in the hospital for 3 days and then they released her after they had discovered what medication was causing her to become nauseous. She has now been home for 4 days and has not been nauseated nor vomited once. She is getting stronger and now walks without the use of a walker or wheel chair.

Praise God He has healed her and is continuing to work on her!

Now another thing about God is that his timing almost never make sense to us. I learned to be patient with my mom’s healing and recovery because God certainly took his time but it was all to serve a purpose. But what I couldn’t figure out is why is it that after 6 years of being single and praying for God to bring me a good man did God do it when I my mom was nearing the end of her hospital recovery?!?!

What are you talking about Sara?? I mean that I am now in a relationship. We’ve been dating only a little over a week now but he asked me to be his girlfriend a few days ago. I bet none of you thought I would come back from a 6 week hiatus to announce not only was my mom getting better but that I was now involved with a man, now did ya? His name is Josh and he is amazing! I have never met a man like him before and I honestly feel like God picked him out just for me. We are a perfect match it astonishes me.

Anyhow, I am getting back to work slowly. Today was my first day of even touching my sites and all I felt the strength to do was to do some blog commenting. But its time for me to grow now. I have been pretty stagnant with my adsense earnings and its time I gave myself a pay raise so I need to put in some real effort to rank my sites. I am praying Josh doesn’t distract me too much. He’s a student right now so he is on winter break and it might be hard for me to get much done until he is back in school but I am ok with that. A little distraction is a good thing, especially after enduring being at the hospital 24/7 for 5 weeks.

I have truly had the best Christmas ever: my mom is home and healing nicely and I have a romantic interest that gives me butterflies when I am with him and when I think of him. Merry Christmas to all my IM friends and new blog readers. Best wishes to you and your families!
