Morning everyone! I am feeling quite optimistic this week. Maybe it has to do with my vision board I posted above my desk or maybe it just has to do with the fact that I am seeing some adsense progress at a steady climb.
The Vision Board
First I present to you my vision board. No laughing guys! I want these things and they will happen for me.
The vision board was introduced by The Secret. First of all, if you have not read the book or watched the video, then I recommend you do so today! It will change your life as you know it!
Three weeks ago I found a lump in my left breast. Naturally I was completely shocked, scared and felt so alone. I had to wait until Tuesday to see my doctor since it was impossible to get in over the weekend. Anyhow, the night I found the lump, I was chatting with a friend from the warrior forum. I told him about the lump and he told me about the secret and stressed for me to see the movie which is a documentary. I watched the movie and after the movie I started practicing what I had learned.
The general idea of The Secret is basically when you believe and ask for positive things to happen in your life, you then will attract positive things to your life and likewise if you focus or believe in the negative things in life, you will attract negative things and situations in your life. It’s a simple concept really but not many people put all their faith into positive things.
Anyhow, I started practicing the secret and had to go through a week of doctors appointments, mammograms and two ultrasounds. My last ultra sound confirmed that it was not cancer. I believe it was my faith in asking to be healed and everything to be ok that led me to be fine. (Thanks Jon! I don’t know what I would have done had it not been for your support and sharing “The Secret” with me.)
I began reading many of the testimonies on the site of people that wanted favor in their finances or businesses and they had accomplished what it was they put their faith in. I have many goals for life right now but the two main ones I am focusing on are obviously earning a full time income online within the next 2 months and to get to my goal weight.
October’s Earnings
Ok so back to my income. Last month I earned almost $500. I know this doesn’t seem like very much to some of you and seeing how I have been at this online business for a year now, you would probably expect me to be making a full time income by now. Unfortunately I suffered from the information and system overload that I never stuck with one system for longer than 30 days and sometimes only 2 weeks! Since July I have given systems a fair chance. As I mentioned in another post, I spent 2 months building Hubpages and I am now entering 6 weeks of building xfactor sites. I can honestly say that those two systems are working, although i see bigger earning potential with xfactor sites.
The good thing about earning $500.00 last month is seeing that my income increased by $217.00. I am hoping to maybe increase November’s earnings by $400 or more.
Creating Xfactor Sites Google Loves With The Ultimate Keyword Theme Extractor
Now I want to go back and update progress on an xfactor site I was testing out using The Ultimate Theme Keyword Extractor. Stacey had mentioned if I had used TUTKE on any of my xfactor sites and had that point I had not. So on October 19, 2009; I built my 16th xfactor site using The Ultimate Keyword Theme Extractor and I looked at my adsense reports for this site.
Here are the basic stats for this site.
Monthly searches: 2,400
SOC: 10
Competing sites: 255,000
I was able to get the exact keywords for the domain in a .net. I built the first 2 pages of the site after running my keywords through The Ultimate Keyword Theme Extractor and wrote my content using the keywords that TUTKE provided for me.
I am pretty certain this software did help rank my site quickly and has kept it steadily on page 1 since it’s launch. It is almost a month old and has not google danced at all. It has been on page 1 and either in position 7-8 solidly and only the past few days has it now moved into position #6. The other sites in positions 1-5 are all PR1-2. and two of those positions are dominated by Amazon and Bizrate, so I think I am doing pretty well.
Now to be fair, I did run UAW on the site last week but it is only targeting the inner pages, of which I just built and posted the last 2 pages of last week. Other than that it only has a total of 5 ezine articles pointing to the main keyword page and 5 Goarticles pointing to the main keyword page. (Which at the time of writing this, Google Webmaster Tools is only able to count 1 Goarticle submission back link).
This site is also the only one of my 21 xfactor sites to receive a click everyday for 2 weeks straight. Some of you may be skeptical and think other factors may be involved in the rankings or its just chance. It’s certainly possible it has nothing to do with writing content that uses the LSI words that TUTKE has provided but I am convinced otherwise and plan on using TUTKE on all upcoming xfactor sites.

This is a very inspiring post. I’m glad that you’re ok, but it’s great that you’ve now come out of it so inspired. I think it’s great that you made $500 last month – I really hope that keeps going up, as you work very hard!
Ruth – Web Career Girl´s last blog ..How Can You Take Time off In A Web Career?
Thanks Ruth! I am really determined to make it. I feel proud of how far I have come in the past year and I really look forward to the day in the near future when I can say that “I did it! I am making a full time income online!”
I think $500 is great! Now you are on a roll, things should only get better.
How many pages do you post on your Xfactor sites? I have some sniper sites that have not sold one CB product, but I am worried about having too few pages for Adsense.
Carrie´s last blog ..Oh Where, Oh Where Have My Rankings Gone?
I have 5 pages on every xfactor site although I do have about 2 or 3 sites that have additional pages, maybe 3-4 additional pages.
I did also convert a google sniper site over into an xfactor site because the CB product I was promoting on it just blows. It gets occasional adsense clicks, not as much as I had hoped for, even though it sits on page one and is in the top 3 positions.
Excellent post! (one of your best)….full of information and emotion. Glad to hear you are fine health-wise.
Even if you make millions, it won;t replace good health, as we know.
I just got Xfactors book and plan to start some sites modeled after his formula.
In the past, I never thought Adsense was worth the time investment, but seeing folsk like you and Mike build income from it is impressive.
BTW, i LOVE your vision board!… I’d like to meet the girl in the pink body suit
Hey Bruce! I definitely agree that being healthy is important with any career and especially for us internet marketers that are glued to our computers for 8+ hours a day! As a friend once said “What good is it to be rich but fat?”
What do you think of Xfactor’s book? Pretty exciting stuff huh?
The board helps. Everyday I look at it at least 10 times and I repeat to myself “I am earning a full time income. I see my payments being deposited into my account, I am thin, I am healthy, I am falling in love…”. You know, whatever is on there! haha
Oh and the woman in pink is Jada Pinkett-Smith. Will Smith’s hot wifey!
Amazing post. Congrats for making such good money. I hope this month would be better that last. All the best.
Love this post. Vision boards are surprisingly powerful. I remember using the concept when I was in high school… above my desk I hung pictures of my dream colleges. It helped me focus during my junior and senior years. And I got what I wanted. So, I’m pretty sure your vision board will help deliver what you’re looking for and more.
Wanted to share the result of that experiment I ran… remember last time I was lamenting the possibility that Google has focused on a wordpress theme I was using, and I suspected it resulted in a delay in it getting indexing? Well, this is not exactly scientific, but I launched two XF sites in the same niche, pretty similar keywords. One using the Thesis-based theme, the other using a custom theme I developed.
Well after three, almost four days, the Thesis-based XF site debuted in spot #11, and the custom theme’s main page is nowhere in the top 100, but oddly, an inner page was in position #65.
What does it mean? Unfortunately, because it’s not scientific, I can’t make any definitive claims. But for the next two sites I’m doing tonight, I will follow the same approach and then look at the results again. Maybe it was an anomaly. Maybe the google human reviewers have seen one too many XF-looking sites (the color scheme of my Thesis-based XF site doesn’t have that green bar on the right). I just don’t know. Oh well.
Oh yeah, quick question Sara — I finally relented and signed up for UAW, since that linkjuicer has failed to produce any meaningful link despite the layering, etc, etc. I’m adding twenty more bucks and shifting that over to the monthly fee for UAW instead. When you have a brand new XF site, do you hit up the main domain page immediately? If so, how many submissions do you think I should try, so as not to raise any google flags that might result in my site getting sandboxed? Reason I’m asking is because I have no experience with UAW, and when I ask it to submit 20 daily, does google find them immediately? I guess it comes down to the properties UAW has, and how quickly google indexes them. Just don’t want to run afoul right off the bat, you know? I tend to do that
Hi Stacey,
Wow, that is so interesting to hear your results with comparing the Thesis theme and your xfactor template. I would be very interested in the outcome of your future tests.
I launched 3 new sites this week and they were all on wordpress. They still took about 4-5 days to get indexed (except one is not indexed yet) and that only beats my HTML sites by 1-2 days. Not that big of a deal. I am finding that so far the 2 that are not indexed, did not show up on page 1. I don’t t know if this has to do with the fact that I didn’t make pages for each keyword phrase (I did posts) or if my keyword research just plain sucked on them. I decided not to make pages because I was going to try and double target my main keyword to try Griz’s suggestion of getting 2 pages ranking for 2 positions on page 1. So I was using the same main keyword for anchored text for the domain itself and then for the very first blog post.
Oh for UAW, I run submissions to target the inner pages with 20 submissions per day and I have run it on the main domain for only 1 xfactor site with 7 submissions per day. So far that site has not been deindexed so I think 7 is a safe number to send out to the domain each day.
Uh, nice post. Its really nice progress in your earnings your making, if you keep that up your a good step on the way to your full online income.

And $500 per month is not a bad income. If you think of it as a passive recurring income every single month, without having to do much more work for it – your ending up getting quite a nice pay per hour right there.

If you have conquered your mind then you can do any thing. Best of luck my friend for your great future.
Goog morning friend being a optimistic such a good sign of success. You are going in the right direction. Carry on.
Hi Sara, You’re just ranking for all the most interesting phrases! OK, I googled this phrase this morning: >>>xfactor sites not ranking<<<. Guess who is #1? Yup, you
And not only that, you also managed to have a double listing for the phrase. I had a little laugh because I know you're trying to get a double listing on your xfactor sites per Griz's advice, and lo and behold, you get one on your blog site without even trying, I think.
Haha that is too funny. Pure accident.
I’m working on trying to double rank 2 sites at the moment. So far no luck.
Hey Sara, Wanted to update you on that thesis vs custom theme experiment I was running. The thesis site showed up early in spot #11 as I described in an earlier comment. The custom themed site was really weird because all of the inner pages got indexed, and some got ranked in the range of 30 to 80. But the main domain page failed to show up, and I was checking every day. It was MIA until right now. It was late, but I guess better late than never. It landed on spot #5. So, I don’t know what was going on there, but let us see if it can hang on to its #5 ranking. I guess the only conclusion I can draw from this experiment is that the thesis theme gets indexed and ranks quicker, but ultimately after about two weeks, the custom theme did show up. I have an identical experiment running at the moment, and it is on day 2. Let’s see which site ranks first.
I’m not as lucky as I used to be as far as ranking on page 1. The first 11 or so sites I did, I think 8 landed on Page 1. Not anymore. Now I’m happy if I can get every other site to show up on Page 1.
On another note, how long does UAW take to approve articles? Are they experiencing delays? I submitted on Sunday, so I imagine they would have had all of Mon, Tue and Wed to approve my first set, but nothing so far. Wondering what your experience is with them. Thanks Sara.
Interesting discovery with Thesis theme ranking immediately. Thesis looks pretty amazing though. I love how it is so easy to totally change the layout of your site and customize it.
If you get another good result from your second test, I might have to purchase it as well. lol
I would say you have done a pretty good job with your keyword research to be ranking 8 out of 11 sites. Out of 22 sites I am only ranking 6 sites on page 1 with 4 more sites sitting on the top of page 2 so they should move up to page 1 in a few more weeks.
When I first used UAW, I noticed that it did take them about 4-5 days to approve and run my first submission. I guess since I have been using them for a month now, new submissions get approved within 24 hours and usually start their first submission run within 24-48 hours. I am not sure whey there is a longer delay the first initial week you start off with them. i received an email saying there were some delays going on with their MAX service which is separate from UAW but no word on UAW delays.
Stacy ask What does it mean? Unfortunately, because it’s not scientific, I can’t make any definitive claims. But for the next two sites I’m doing tonight, I will follow the same approach and then look at the results again. Maybe it was an anomaly. Maybe the google human reviewers have seen one too many XF-looking sites (the color scheme of my Thesis-based XF site doesn’t have that green bar on the right). I just don’t know. Oh well. It’s this really follow able???

You were talking about the Secret, here is an awesome inspiration video about something similar.
It is really old however, but I watch it every now and then.
It’s a must watch for every serious marketer

Hi Heimir,
I have seen that video before, about 2 months ago. It is an amazing speech!
Congrats on your good income for Oct. I noticed that ‘Google Affiliate Network’ is doing very well. What exactly is this since you are showing Adsense separately.
Just something to ask you on Xfactor since I’m following John’s method too. I came across a post in Warrior Forum. Someone who has followed Xfactor and has 18 niche adsense sites just got the ban from Google. He figured someone must have found out and reported his sites to Google. Not sure why would he get the ban although I really can’t tell what else he did on his sites or templates and if he violated the TOS. But he claimed he followed exactly what Xfactor taught in the ebook. If we give him the benefit of the doubt, why then would Google not like Xfactor’s template. What do you think?
p.s thanks for fixing the comment posting problem for me
Google has their own affiliate network which is similar to networks like LinkShare or PepperJam and its called Google Affiliate Network. You will find many big sites that use the Google Affiliate network so you can find an affiliate for just about any niche.
As far as that particular WF member getting all his niche sites banned, well I can’t say as to why since I have not read the thread and do not know the specifics. Even if all of his sites were discovered or reported to Google, Google would only ban if he was violating something from the that is in the Adsense TOS. Maybe he was even using product names as his keywords. That could be a reason for Google to ban as well for fear of being connected to the member and having the brand name threatening Google as well. It could be that the sites were not providing any real content that was intended for visitors. Google can smell a made for adsense site a mile away. Xfactor has said time and time again to write real content that provides the information your visitors will find insightful or helpful. If you get sloppy and just throw up junk “filler” content on your site, then Google is either going to de-index your site or ban your adsense account altogether.
I don’t think its a matter of the template. Just like I am sure I am not the only person using this blog template out there and there are thousands more that just use the basic standard wordpress template. So the template is not the issue, he had to have done something to break the TOS.
The best thing is to not let the WF threads discourage you. In fact, I don’t even read those threads but maybe once every week or so.
If you have any fear about building micro niche sites, then I will offer you these safe tips:
1.) Do not target product/brand names for your domain
2.) Get your privacy policy, about and contact pages up right away and do not display any adsense on those pages (I use a privacy policy creator – http://www.serprank.com/privacy-policy-generator/index.php ). this is great because they include the DoubleClick Dart info on there as well which is part of Googles new TOS.
3.) Fill your pages with real content and no shorter than 400 words.
4.) For extra safe measures build 10 pages of content per site
