Since my last post I have managed to build 5 new xfactor adsense sites, so I think that brings me to 13 sites that fit Mike’s 2900+ monthly searches suggestion. I basically built these last 5 sites over the past 9 days and only one of them is indexed right now.
Now why did I only manage to build 5 sites in the past few weeks? The honest truth is I just got completely burned out. With the holidays coming up, I was a bit more limited as to how much I could outsource. This left me with basically having to write my own articles used for ezine and goarticle submissions. This process became mind numbing and I would only manage to write 3-4 articles a day and feel as though that was all I was mentally capable of producing. So I basically took an entire week off in which I did nothing except running bookmarking demon on my newer sites at the time and I did a few runs of Comment Kahuna.
After having another pep talk with Mike he gave me some advice on how to overcome my article back linking issue. He simply said “don’t focus on it, just get the sites built; digg, run BMD and submit RSS feeds and move on to the next site.” Now that sounded easy enough and that was something I could handle. So last week I had received my last batch of outsourced articles that was intended to be used for the content on my latest 5 xfactor sites and I did just as Mike suggested. I built a site each day by immediately putting up 3 pages of content for each site. Then I would go back and run BMD for each page of new content, use RSS bot to submit my feeds, used pingler to ping each site and digg my site as well as bookmarked it with mixx. Apparently if you have done your research well enough, you should be able to rank for your keywords without any back linking efforts. So I am gonna see how these rank after they get indexed.
My income from my xfactor sites is still stuck at about $5-7.00 a day. I have noticed one significant change and that is that the sites I created UAW submissions for are receiving the most clicks. So bottom line is, I need to go back and get some more UAW submissions made for my sites.

Only 5 sites? That sounds like a lot to me! You are doing great. It’s a learning process! Once you finally get that keyword research down pat you will see the $ climb! I’ve only got like 6 sites total – no time here either! yes, the articles take a lot of time and I have been outsourcing. But even at cheap prices, it’s usually about $40-50 for all the content then I have to spend time uploading all of that. I hate uploading articles! You have to make different resource boxes and then keep track of which keywords you used. I don’t know why but uploading the articles take me forever. I digress…haha I need to really zero in on low competition keywords so i don’t have to do articles, either.

Yes, sometimes there are just so many steps to take that I need to just remind myself that this is not a get rich quick process. It will always require steady work but the rewards will be worth it.
I agree. Building 5 sites is no mean achievement. Heck, I probably take more time to build just 1 or 2 sites, lol.
Hope you keep us posted on your progress.
Well it’s really good to know that UAW has a positive effect. As for getting burnt out, I’ve been exactly the same. I feel like I need a real break, so I am taking a break starting Saturday. I’ve falled so behind on my sites – so don’t feel bad because you’re still moving forward!
Ruth – Web Career Girl´s last blog ..The Importance of Looking Forward to Well-Earned Time Off
I seem to have to just take a week off from anything related to my online business every 6 months. I know I took some time off back in July and I took 2 weeks off last January (it was just more difficult to come back from the Holidays and trying to fit back into my work at home routine).
It’s just like working a real job. In the real world you get vacation of a week or two or more off a year and with an online business, sometimes you need that mental and physical break so that you can stop with half-ass articles and blogs and come back refreshed and ready to pump up your game plan again.
Enjoy your break Ruth. I know you will come back feeling supercharged and big things are gonna happen. Let’s make 2010 our year!
Definitely
2010 will be a great year!

I know how you feel. I am taking ALL of December off electing to spend more time with my family (which is always a great decision). I hope to hit the ground running in 2010 though.

I am sure your family will appreciate you making that sacrifice for them right now. I wish you much success for 2010 Dusty.
Sara,
How you? Been a while, ermm just a quick question, are you bookmarkign your Ezine Profile page with BMD? I also purchased RSS Bot recently and have found it to be quite good, theres a few sites that regularly gives my sites backlinks which is excellent.
Ive also started to use BMD 4 again but only submit to the ‘main’ sites. From my experience folkd is dofollow and gives you backlinks pretty quickly, spurl also seems to be gettgin indexed quickly although not sure if this is dofollow. By the way, cocngrats on getting all those sites up so fast. You’re an inspiration to us all.
I;ve only got up a measly 6 however Im spending some time on them, Ive got like 20+ sites up as 1 page sites which arent doing too bad.
Also, have you considered any profile backlinking like Angela’s/Pauls packets? I can say that these definately work but you get soooooooo bored doing these over and over again. The key is to find your own and create a few profiles per week, just dont go crazy.
THanks
Zaheer

Is there a specific program/software you use to help with link building?
Hi Mark,
I rely on using Unique Article Wizard and Bookmarking Demon. In fact, I just started using bookmarking demon 5 the past few days and I am falling more in love with it. I was using BMD4 because when BMD5 was released it never worked properly for me. It wouldn’t let me run my bookmarks or create accounts but things are smooth now.
BMD is a social bookmark service right?
And how does UAW work, is there a post here or do you know a good source that explains it?
Thanks
Mark
Yes, BMD is a social bookmarking service.
As far as UAW, I can’t really go into great detail exactly how their service works but you basically submit articles through the service and you get links back to your site via the resource box.
And do you have to rewrite dozens and dozens of articles or do you use the same one again and again?
You submit 3 different versions of the same article and then they spin it for you when it is submitted to other directories.
Hey Sara,
Glad BMD5 is finally working out well for you. I eventually went with BM Wizard, which I affectionately call my BMW. How are your XF sites doing? Mine earnings are dipping just a bit this week; I think my potential clickers are out shopping instead of browsing and clicking my ads
On a related note, I posted on Mike’s site about an experience I am having with respect to brand name domains. I just got a nasty legal letter for a couple of domain names which ironically, I decided not to develop. The legal people representing the company are demanding some interesting things. Anyway, I elaborated on Mike’s site.
Finally, I thought I’d share with you that I have been helping out a little bit with a new site that promises to do article submission, blog posting, social bookmarking and rss submission for a subscription that’s cheaper than linkjuicer. The whole thing is on beta testing right now, and it should be an excellent alternative to linkjuicer (which i will be canceling) and maybe even contend with uaw. We’ll see.
Hope you have a great holiday season, and best of luck with your future XF sites. I know it works, and I am building a site every chance I get. Except now I’d better remember to avoid the brand names
Hey Stacey,
Sorry to hear about the cease and desist letters. I had a personal experience with that before I ever got into IM. I owned an online toyshop and some jerk came along and said that part of my domain was trademarked by him and he demanded I hand him my domain. he was just nervous because I was started to do very well with my online sales and he knew I was gonna be tough competition. Anyhow after that, I just decided that with IM I wouldn’t even dare step too close to any product names or anything.
I’ll be sure to check out Mike’s site for your post.
My XF sites are still doing about $5-7 a day but I haven’t been building any new sites for about a week now. I was just busy getting BMD up and running and bookmarked some of my newer sites with it. I also had a dip in clicks this last week. I even had a $1.75 day which is super low for me when I usually average at least $10 a day. lol
I would be very interested in what it is you have found that you like better than TLJ. I quit my subscription but still have UAW going.
Have a Merry Christmas and much success for you this next year!
I’ve also been using LinkJuicer, what’s you opinion on it?
I’m following Xfactor’s method too and I’ve got 7 micro adsense sites up in a couple of months now so your 5 sites in 9 days really is a great achievement. I have to say Xfactor’s method works but the only problem I have is that a few of my sites have gotten the Google sandbox. Do you experience this? It can take as long as 2 months to be out of the ‘probation’ period. Except for one, all my sites are ranking on Google page 1 in positions 1 – 5 but I noticed that the last 2 weeks have been very quiet because of the holidays. Just waiting for the traffic to resume. Did you encounter this too?
