Well my goal for this week was to get 6 sites completed. Unfortunately, I lost 2 days because of the google IP ban and I also worked in the dental office on Thursday.
This is what I have done for this week so far:
- Built and finished all the steps for site #7. So it’s complete!
- Purchased 4 domains from some key word research I did on Monday. Outsourced articles to be written for those 4 sites. (I will be able to quickly build these next week after I get the articles back which should be on Tuesday or Wednesday.)
- Discovered a free program that let’s you build a XML sitemap. It also let’s you build an easy HTML version of a sitemap so you can help the other search engines find your pages. So I went back and built all of my sitemaps for all sites up and submitted them through Google’s Webmaster tools.
- I started another site yesterday. It is 40% complete. It still needs the last 3 keyword pages and those pages will then need to be back linked.
- I hired a new writer on oDesk to write me 20 articles that are around 250 words that I can use to back link next weeks sites.
My sites are still only earning about $1.50 a day but this is still pretty good since my sites are not all indexed yet. 5 out of my now 8 sites are indexed but the weird thing is they seem to only have the privacy policy, about us or contact pages indexed. and none of the keyword pages yet. So I guess technically you can say they are not indexed just yet. lol My first six sites will have had 2 weeks come monday, since they were uploaded to the web and bookmarked, back linked and submitted to digg. Of course 1 week later I got their RSS feeds submitted into several directories and this week I got their XML sitemaps submitted to Google. I don’t know why they are taking so incredibly long to be indexed.
I think because of the way submission is taking so long, I may implement a new strategy of building the site with the first page of content being completed by myself, then hire my writers to write the remaining pages of content for them. That way I can jump start getting them indexed while I wait for the content to be returned to me.
I still have 2 days left of this weekend so I am going to try my best to get at least 3 new sites up and running and then complete site number 8.

Hi Sara,
Firstly, well done on getting so much done, its not easy to get 7 sites complete, especially when you have to work as well. I’m having the same problem as you with regards to getting indexed. Its a real nightmare for these HTML sites to get indexed. Like you I have tried, social bookmarking to Digg and a few other places, submitted sitemaps and also a rss feed but still to no avail, even though I know my articles have been indexed. Strange huh?
I like your idea about writing homepage content for your upcoming sites so they can get indexed faster, that put a smile on my face becuase I was thinking exactly the same thing yesterday.
When you mentione dyour earnings, is that per site or total? If you’re not getting them via search engines then am curius to know where you’re getting this traffic from.
Are your sites all static or do you have any WordPress sites? Like you I also use Artisteer and have been for a long time and its great as it allows you to churn out soo many themes. I’m going to try a WP site and see if this has any luck, will let you know.
Good luck and well done again.
Zaheer
Hi Zaheer,
My earnings have been about $1.50-$2.00 total.
All my websites are HTML sites I built with Dreamweaver. I must say that the template has a CTR of 30-50% though. I am working on a new layout just to change things up a bit.
