One of my very first niche blogs was created back in November. I had fallen in love with this niche. It was fun for me to research and write posts for. The problem was, it just wasn’t monetized right. It didn’t start getting adsense clicks until about a month after having adsense placed on it and even then, I was lucky it it could pull $0.10-0.25 a day. I think around January it finally hit $20.00 for the monthly total and has pretty much stuck to $20 a month since. I noticed the past few days it was making about $2.00 a day and then yesterday it made a whopping $4.91. I was completely shocked so I decided to check up on its position to see why the increase. To my surprise it had taken the #2 position on page 1 for the keyword. It had been #4-5 since January. That #2 spot has made the huge difference in my adsense earnings for it.

Recently I had posted about revamping some adsense placement and writing content purely based on sought out high EPC keywords. Well I didn’t actually write any new content for this site targeting higher EPC keywords but I did place that bigger 300×250 ad on my posts for it.

I am convinced this blog will not do any affiliate sales. It has only made one sale for a clickbank product and I only earned $1.79 from it, so it’s not worth it. I just knew back in January that I would only earn from Adsense. If this blog were to consistently bring in $5 a day then that would be $150.00 a month. That’s not too shabby!
