I started hubbing on July 7, 2009. I know have about 80ish Hubs. I did spend some time on writing some ezine articles and infobarrells for about 15 of my hubs. To date I have earned $17.09. I know this amount would be very discouraging especially for the amount of hours I have put in but I am still positive and upbeat about the earning potential they will bring in over the next few months.
I have read numerous articles about how important it is to get backlinks to your hubs. Now as I do agree that back linking is vital for any website or article I don’t think I will be focusing on back links pointing to every hub page I write. I have read how it seems to be important to submit your Hubpages author RSS feed and to comment on other hubs and participate on the Hubpages forum. So now I am writing about 3-5 hubs a day and then I read other hubs and comment on them.

Hubs are still a mystery to me. Some people are earning $1000.00+ a month with only 100 hubs while some people may have 500 hubs and are earning only a few hundred a month. You definitely need to target high CPC keywords. I was targetting keywords that were $3-5 CPC but lately I have found some much juicier ones. I am hoping that the juicy ones will allow for me to write less frequently. I am getting awfully tired after only writing 3 hubs a day. It is an absolute struggle to write anymore than that.

I hope so too. At this point I am looking into outsourcing with Odesk. You can easily get 10 – 400+ word articles written for about $12. I figure I should invest now and give the hubs some time to age to help me earn faster. otherwise, it would take me months to hit 300 hubs which is my goal at the moment.

It is a great hub on how to earn with hubpages but from discussions I have had with other hubbers, you don’t need to build hundreds of hubs if you know what your doing. The smarter hubbers are targeting high CPC with a decent amount of searches that have low competition. Easier said than done, I know.
But the smarter ones have about 100 hubs and just focus more on back linking the high CPC hubs to earn $1000+ a month.
