I opened up a whole Pandora’s box by getting Daniel Tan’s WSO. It really is a powerful way to get thousands of back links quickly to your website. The downside is, outsourcing this to get done is a REAL pain in the butt. You would be surprised how many people on oDesk had no idea what the heck an anchored text link or a text link is or how to write one using HTML. I’m not talking about the non-internet people. I am talking about the people that swear they do Social Bookmarking and blog posting. Like seriously, they have no clue what a text link is!! It’s quite astonishing and also very annoying. Of the 3 people I am testing out for this WSO, only 1 of them was able to complete the job with getting 98% of the anchored text links right. He only missed the last 2% because there were 2 sites that do not allow for links in the body anymore. Actually he is a quick learner because he, like the other 2, had no idea what an anchored text was even though I had provided them with the HTML code that they only needed to copy and paste, he still wanted a brief explanation. So I forwarded them all to wikipedia’s page on anchored text links. He picked it up immediately and was good to go. The other 2 people are struggling where half of their postings get it right and the other half are not set up right.
So I spent over 70% of my day yesterday corresponding with people from oDesk via interviews or answering questions of the ones I had hired. I only ended up getting 1/3 of a site built yesterday.
Another highlight of yesterday was that in all the craziness, I somehow forgot to send my spinner her work for the day so she sent me an email at noon asking if something was wrong because usually she would have received her work by the morning. I felt horrible that I had forgotten her!
I know once I find a few good people for this new position, all will be well and I will be able to feel relieved knowing they are capable of their job without me having to hold their hand through it all. I am now interviewing 2 US people that have swore to me they know what anchored text links are since they do SEO back linking and one of them mentioned doing profile back links (whew!). No matter how cheap I sometimes think I can ge work outsourced, it really does benefit you in the long run to pay just a bit more to one person that is qualified to do the work without having to ask you every 30 minutes how to do the next step.
The cool thing is, that all of this headache will be worth it. I already did a google search for one of the “jobs” the guy that got 98% of the links done right and it is already registering as 116 back links in google!
Speaking of back links. I have no idea what is going on but I checked one of my sites that had some recent blog commenting done on it and it is showing 669 back links when it only had 18 as of last week. When I looked at it, it is getting picked up by all the blog post tags for this one particular site. Sweet! Another site that had about 30 back links last week, now has over 800 back links from the same sort of thing. Scrapebox must have really found some juicy blogs for me to post on.
I am gonna look into profile back links over the next few days and try to boost my new sites that have no back links.
Yesterday’s Adsense Earnings: $23.18
Highest singleĀ xfactor site earner: $2.30
Lowest single xfactor site: $0.09 (for 2 clicks ouch)

hi sara,
just found your blog through google. i also build xfactor sites and your blog is really helpful. i deeply respect your work ethic and goal setting. keep up the good work and i will be bookmarking your site for future reading.
thx
Hi Edward,
These micro sites are simply amazing. A few months ago I saw the big picture but just wasn’t giving them my all. Now that I have been pushing myself really hard at it for a month now, I am finally seeing my income increase every day! It’s wonderful! I will be anxious to hear how your sites do.
Boy, you sure got a real production line going there!! Good Grief!
There’s no way you will not be successful in this endeavor.
I did purchase Tan’s WSO but haven’t read it yet… How much do you pay to outsource it? It is supposed to be my reading for the morning…
Thanks also for the link to Tyle Kerry’s forum. I’ll be joining in for sure, seems to be really good info there and nice people too.
I too posted on a high traffic/PR blog and got over 800 links within 4 days. Most of them will disappear though as the links to your comment drops off the side bars… I also did not see any change in rankings, but maybe you will.
Outsourcing is so vital and it sets up a lot of resistance for me. I do have a GREAT writer but she only produces 20 articles a week. I need a lot more than that…. So today I will work on getting a different mindset about outsourcing.
Righty then, off to work….
Evita
Hi Evita,
Daniel provides a guide to show you how to outsource it at the very end of the ebook. It’s genius! I am paying my people about $8-10.00 for every 25 submissions they do.
My only recommendation is that you emphasize how important it is that they understand what an anchored text link is. Even though they will be copying and pasting your “article” that should already have your anchored text link set up for them, in some cases they will need to edit those anchored text links on their own. I finally have 4 people that can do this perfectly. I only got them after stressing how important basic HTML skills for the job were. lol I posted the position as a Data Entry position like Daniel suggests. I love his book and I think the potential for thousands of back links is so easy now! haha!
Even right now as I went and did a search for the “article” title that my first outsourcer did for me on Monday, I see it posted to 194 pages and that was only from being submitted successfully to 20 sites on that list. (Some sites are outdated or do crazy things like never send you a confirmation email to confirm your account so you can post). Those links will grow on their own with no further work. I love it!
Yea, I figure the blog tags and links will die over time and actually they already started to. the site that had over 800 is now at 780-something. lol
hi sara,
im no expert, but i have 30 xfact sites making $31 consistently, but 3 do the heavy lifting. i think its wonderful that you have 80+ sites. u have a sufficient scale now to concentrate your effort and make all those babies throw out money. what works for me is to focus on a few sites at a time. build links and add some articles at the same time. the reason is because once a site ranks well, it has good authority and when u add new pages, it ranks naturally even without building links to those pages. so don’t spread yourself too thin.
keep up the good work and keep us updated on your progress. it has been a great motivator for me.
Edward,
Thanks for that advice. That is a great reminder. I guess that’s sort of why I have focused more on ranking some of my older sites the past few days and I haven’t really built any new sites the past 3 days, even though I have the content ready.
I’ve been looking at the sites that are already ranking at like #5 or 6 and trying to boost them with back links.
