I purchased Xfactor’s Micro Niche Adsense Course and read through the eBook in about 2 days. I got really excited after reading the actual testimony thread but I am more excited because Mike has been doing it for a few weeks and he has seen his earnings go up. And when Mike is fired up about a new system and goes all out on it, it gets ME motivated to want to try it.
The thing I like about Xfactor’s system is that is doesn’t seem overwhelming like niche blogging can be. Sure, you still are going to have to write a lot of content but its not that bad actually. The beauty of it is that you will make money much more quickly than with traditional niche blogs.
I was hung up on making my template for a few days. Xfactor doesn’t give away the actual template he uses for his sites but he does show you what it looks like and explains why it works so well. He and many others have used Xsitepro to build their template. I would say that my website building skill is a 6/10. I know HTML and I have picked up a little but of CSS through working with my wordpress blogs and from an attempt at learning it on my own through a book.
Anyhow, by recommendation; I purchased Xsitepro. It’s a rather pricey piece of software. It is comparable to buying Adobe’s Dreamweaver CS4 at $200.00. I installed Xsitepro and went to work on my template. Sure it was easy to use and it is ideal for a person with no knowledge of webdesign languages. After building my template in Xsitepro, I was left with this really ugly template. I wanted to make it a bit nicer and not so dull looking. Unfortunately, there aren’t very many tutorials explaining step by step how to spice up your webdesigns. Not how I wanted to anyhow. I gave Xsitepro a good go and played around with it for a full day. i wasn’t happy with my results.
I have Adobe Golive Cs2 on my pc so I figured I would give it a shot and try to create my template with it. I spent about 3 hours the other night fiddling with it and couldn’t get it just right. I couldn’t float my DIVs correctly so I was just making a huge mess.
I finally decided to search for Adobe Dreamweaver tutorials and came across tutvid’s videos on Youtube. He made the tutorials so easy to follow along with and he supplies the images and files you can download so you can follow along with him. So I downloaded a 30 day free trial of Dreamweaver CS4 and got started right away learning how to use it. The first tutorial I did of his was Create A Full CSS website. I got addicted and it was sooo easy to do. I ended up doing about another 4 of his other tutorials. I made up my mind that Dreamweaver is more my style and I feel like I have already learned a lot more CSS from it. I requested a refund today on Xsitepro and they have been pretty polite about it so we shall see when I can expect my return.
So last night I built my template in about 2 hours and I spent all day adding my articles, fine tuning the “classes”, adding images and my adsense codes. I am so satisfied with my template and now I can just reuse this exact template for my future Xfactor sites.
Since you have to do quite a bit of article marketing, I plan on having my oDesk writers rewrite a bunch of articles for me so that I can use them for my article submissions. That will save me some time. I am going to shoot for getting up 3 sites a week.
Update:9/29/09 Xsitepro refunded my money within 24 hours with no problems. They get 5 star customer service!

Great that you got a refund from Xsitepro. I have been using Artisteer to create templates. Good luck with your sites! No doubt you’ll be moving ahead quickly with the help on the article writing.

Artiseer is good too. I actually tested it out before downloading Dreamweaver’s trial, but Artiseer makes it difficult to set up the template to look like xfactor’s since the base templates are for blogs.
I have made a WP template with Artisteer because I decided I wanted to create blogs for it. Took me ages, but finally got a template together with different colour options etc. Looks like a normal HTML site which is nice
Works using ‘Pages’ instead of posts.

Hi Web Career Girl,
I was playing around with Artisteer yesterday (for 2 hours if you can call that “playing around!”) trying to get it to look like the xfactor html template…
Is there any way I could get some pointers or the template code itself from you?
Thanks ahead of time,
Charlie
Hi Charlie,
Basically you can create it to look pretty much the same in Artisteer if you spend some time tweaking the details.
You can either include a plain looking header menu, or just leave it out and add it in yourself in the theme editor later. Does that make sense?
You also can’t add in the images and Adsense properly in Artisteer, but again that can be done manually in the code once you’ve finished.
If you need any more help please visit my blog and contact me using my contact page.

That’s great that the artiseer template is working out well for you.No doubt that sites that use the wordpress platform will be indexed much faster. Google just loves the blogs. lol
Fantastic that you are starting to make money with your sites. How long have you been making them?
Hello everyone, I’m brand spankin new to this program. I was about to buy xsitepro but being a “newbie” and reading above, I’m of course thinking not the best route for me. He says dont’ use blogs and I see some of you are using wordpress. So do you think that is just fine or should I still go the web site software route?
thanks
Hi Brigitte,
Honestly, if you can get someone to make you a wordpress theme like Xfactor’s that might be your best bet. You can either use the people John recommends within the member’s area or you can simply outsource it using oDesk or eLance.
There are some people that have just loved using xsitepro but you should be able to get a wordpress theme template designed for a fraction of the cost of Xsitepro.
